Safe and Effective Allergy Treatment

An allergy is a condition in which the immune system reacts abnormally to a substance that’s typically harmless to most people. These substances, called allergens, can include things like pollen, dust mites, pet dander, certain foods, insect stings, or even some medications. Hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis) is an allergic reaction caused by an allergen such as pollen, dust, mould or fungal spores that causes inflammation of the inside of the nose. Its a common condition, estimated to affect around 1 in every 5 people in the UK.

Allergic rhinitis is an allergic reaction that affects the nose, causing symptoms like sneezing, a runny or stuffy nose, itching, and watery eyes. It happens when the immune system overreacts to allergens like pollen, dust mites and pet dander. These allergens trigger the release of histamines. Treatment can include antihistamines, nasal sprays and decongestants.
